Accessibility

Updated October 17, 2026

We want everyone to be able to use fraud.ca, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. With that in mind, our goals include the following:

  • pages use proper headings, labels and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them;
  • pages can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus;
  • text and controls meet colour contrast guidelines, and pages work when zoomed and on small screens;
  • star ratings and charts have text equivalents;
  • the site is available in English and French.

Known limitations

  • The bot check on sign-in, and on posting forms during an account’s first week, is provided by Cloudflare. If it gives you trouble, email support@fraud.ca and we’ll try to help.
  • Maps on business pages are simplified illustrations; the address is also given as text, with a link to a map service.
  • Reviews and posts are written by members, and may not always follow plain-language practices.

We work to fix accessibility issues as we become aware of them. We don’t claim the site is fully compliant yet.
